Deposit for Silversmithing Course March/April

This listing is the deposit for the March/April course.

Welcome to my silversmithing course! This will be a fun, easy-going, work at your own pace kind of class, but I’m confident you will leave knowing the essentials of silversmithing and the stream-lined process of making beautiful and sellable pieces. 

This class will meet on the following Saturday mornings from 10am- 12pm, with a flexibility to stay until 12:30 to wrap up your project if you wish (I know how it feels to be in the zone). The Saturdays we’ll be meeting are; 3/8, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19. These classes will be held at my workspace inside of Fiction, located at 2717 Washington Blvd in Ogden Utah. We are a dark blue building and parking is available in the south side lot.

In this course you will learn the fundamentals and technicalities of silversmithing from soldering, sawing, forming, stamping, sanding, and polishing. The materials (silver and stone) and use of tools needed for our class projects are included in the price, so you won’t need to bring anything but yourself! You will choose a stone from my stash and design and make your own ring, as well as a hand stamped silver cuff bracelet. I will provide a course syllabus for each of you to reference the steps, course curriculum, tool safety, learning links, and resources for sourcing your own materials in the future.
